National Maritime Institute, Chittagong is inviting applications from genuine Bangladeshi citizens under the mentioned conditions for recruitment against the following temporary posts-

04 (Four) years Diploma Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic Institute.
a) Graduation from a recognized university with at least 2 (two) years of catering work experience with a certificate of training in catering from an approved institution;
or
b) Minimum 5 (Five) years experience as Chief Steward or Chief Cook on seagoing ship with Graduation. a) Graduation degree from a recognized university; b) 6 (months) Fire Safety Manager course certificated from an approved training institute; And
c) 1 (one) year practical experience in related work.
Principal, National Maritime Institute, South Halishahar, Bandar stating applicant's name, father's name, mother's name, permanent and present address, date of birth, age as on 15/04/2024, educational qualification, nationality, religion, experience (if any) etc. , Chittagong-4100 should send the application and write the name of the post and own district on the envelope. The address to which the applicant is interested to receive the interview card should be clearly written and sent in 1 envelope of size 9.5 inches x 4.5 inches along with the application form along with an unused postage stamp worth Tk.20/- (twenty).
Candidate age should be 18-30 years as on 15/04/2024. No affidavit regarding age will be admissible.
Application along with Character Certificate issued by First Class (9th Grade) Gazetted Officer and Photocopy of all Education Certificates attested by First Class (9th Grade) Officer, Photocopy of Citizenship Certificate issued by Union Parishad/Municipal Chairman/Ward Councilor of City Corporation, Photocopy of National Identity Card, recent 3 (three) copies of passport size color photograph attested and attached photocopy of experience certificate (if any) etc.
Candidates working in Govt, Semi-Government and Autonomous Organizations should apply through appropriate authority (advance copies are not acceptable) Candidates must produce original copies of educational qualification and other certificates at the time of oral examination.

Last date of receipt of application is 15/04/2014 AD. No application will be accepted after the said date.
If the candidate is a child of freedom fighter (son-daughter of freedom fighter and martyred freedom fighter and son-daughter of son-daughter if son-daughter is not available) in favor of father/mother along with the certificate of Bangladesh Muktijodha Sangsad, Central Command Council and residents of orphanages, physically handicapped and In case of Ansar and VDP member candidates, attested copy of the certificate issued by the concerned authority should be submitted along with the application.
Districts and other quotas fixed by the government will be preserved/observed in the selection of candidates.
10. Age limit for children of freedom fighters is 18-32 years.

Candidates have to pay the application fee of Tk 200/- through treasury challan (against code 1-5236-0010-2681) in favor of Principal, National Maritime Institute, Chattogram to Bangladesh Bank/Sonali Bank and submit the original copy of the treasury challan along with the application form. In this case, postal order or bank draft or pay order will be forfeited in favor of National Maritime Institute.
12. No TA/DA will be provided to the candidates for appearing in written and oral test. 13. The decision of the appointing authority regarding the acceptance and rejection of the application will be considered final.
